Application method of thermal conductive silicone grease
　　1.First remove impurities from the coating layer
　　Before applying thermal conductive silicone grease,the first step is to ensure the smoothness of the coating layer,check the surface for impurities,dust,etc.,and also check the surface of the coating layer for rust spots to avoid affecting the subsequent operation.Moreover,if there are rust spots on the coating layer,it can also lead to insufficient application of thermal conductive silicone grease,thereby reducing its service life.Therefore,the step of removing impurities and ensuring the smoothness of the coating layer may seem simple,but it is essential.
　　2.Apply evenly
　　After ensuring the smoothness of the coating layer,the most important application process comes next.When applying thermal conductive silicone grease,a small amount of thermal conductive silicone grease can be placed on the coating layer first,and then evenly scraped with a scraper.Here,methods such as"one line scraping"and"cross scraping"can be used to ensure that the thermal conductive silicone grease placed on the coating layer is uniform and lightweight.After applying thermal conductive silicone grease,observe if there are any bubbles on the surface.The areas with bubbles need to be scraped flat with a scraper.
　　Taking the application of CPU thermal conductive silicone grease as an example:
　　1.First,clean the CPU core and radiator surface with high-purity solvent such as high-purity isoamyl alcohol or acetone and lint free cloth(such as cloth for lens wiping)(one fingerprint may be about 0.005 inches thick).This step can be omitted as long as the surface is clean and free of oil.
　　2.Determine the area on the heat sink that comes into contact with the CPU,and squeeze enough heat dissipation paste into the center of the area.
　　3.Use a clean tool such as a razor blade,credit card edge,or a clean knife to pick up a small amount of heat dissipation cream and transfer it to the corner of the CPU core(such as the bottom left corner).Just a small piece is enough,about the size of half a grain of rice.
　　4.Put your fingers into the plastic bag,and then rub the heat dissipation paste at the bottom of the radiator with your fingers until the heat dissipation paste evenly covers the entire area in contact with the CPU.Clockwise and counterclockwise movement can be used to ensure that the heat dissipation paste can fill the gaps and uneven places at the bottom of the radiator.Note:Do not apply directly with your fingers.
　　5.Wipe off the heat dissipation paste at the bottom of the radiator with a lint free cloth.It can be seen that the color of the place where the heat dissipation paste has been applied at the bottom of the radiator is different from that of other areas,indicating that the heat dissipation paste has evenly filled the gap of the base.
　　6.Using a razor blade or other clean tool,start from one corner of the CPU core and evenly apply heat dissipation cream to the entire core.The flatter the surface to be contacted,the thinner the demand for heat dissipation paste.For the bottom surface of an ordinary radiator,the thickness of the cooling paste is about the thickness of a piece of ordinary paper(0.003-0.005 inch).If the bottom surface of the radiator is bright and flat,the cooling paste can be thin to translucent.
　　7.Confirm that there is no foreign matter on the surface of the radiator base and the CPU core,and place the radiator on the CPU.At this time,you can only press it gently,not rotate or translate the radiator.Otherwise,the thickness of the thermal paste between the heat sink and the CPU may be uneven.
　　8.Fasten the buckle and finish work.
　　Precautions
　　1.The use of thermal conductive silicone grease is not as good as applying more,but as thin as possible while ensuring that the gaps are filled.Excessive coating is not beneficial,but rather affects heat transfer efficiency.
　　2.Store away from children.
　　3.If you accidentally come into contact with the skin,wipe it clean and then rinse with water;If you accidentally come into contact with your eyes,immediately rinse with water and go to the hospital for examination.
